The Indie Author Project is thrilled to celebrate another exciting milestone for our 2024 Indie Author of the Year, Melissa Bobe!
On April 17, Melissa was a featured panelist during Library Journal’s prestigious Day of Dialog virtual event, joining an incredible lineup of bestselling and award-winning authors. Melissa participated in the “Worlds Beyond” panel, highlighting a collection of fantasy novels that transport readers to new realms and fire the imagination. She spoke alongside Oliver Darkshire (Isabella Nagg and the Pot of Basil), Marie Lu (Red City), Louis Sachar (The Magician of Tiger Castle), and Michelle Wong (House of the Beast), with moderation by Ashley Rayner, Librarian at NORC at the University of Chicago.
Melissa’s novel, Electric Trees, winner of the 2023 New York Author Project contest, has captivated readers with its imaginative worldbuilding and lyrical storytelling. Her inclusion on this panel alongside such notable authors is a testament to the growing impact and recognition of indie publishing in the literary community.
