INDIE ONTARIO LOCAL AUTHOR ARCHIVE
Over 600 eBooks by local Ontario authors have been made available to participating libraries across the province in the Indie Ontario collection on BiblioBoard Library. This collection helps libraries be inclusive of all types of local indie authors while being able to confidently promote the top submissions as identified by the trusted Indie Author Project curation partners.
Indie Ontario not only features eBooks by individual Ontario authors, but also community-created works from local organizations and initiatives like Vaughn Public Library’s Voices of Vaughn Anthology.
ONTARIO INDIE AUTHOR PROJECT SELECT AUTHORS
More than 60 eBooks by local Ontario authors have been chosen by Indie Author Project curation partners as Indie Author Project Select titles, representing the best-of-the-best of IAP submissions from indie authors all across the U.S. and Canada. These IAP Select authors are invited to participate in a royalty-paying program where their eBooks are sold in curated collections to libraries locally— and internationally— via eBook platforms such as OverDrive, DPLA Exchange, cloudLibrary, and Axis 360.
ANNUAL ONTARIO AUTHOR PROJECT
Each year the Ontario Author Project partners with librarians all across the province to identify the top indie-published eBooks by local Ontario authors. With these contests librarians not only have the chance to engage with a growing group of new and diverse literary voices, but also an opportunity to play an active role in the discovery and promotion of new works. For indie-published authors, these contests are a fantastic way to elevate their careers and expand their readership. Along with the accolade of the award, its cash prizes, and perks, being recognized by librarians creates credibility and visibility in the growing marketplace of digital content and indie-published books.
